Influence of PBL learning model on students’ ability to complete higher order question thinking skills

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the learning model on student learning outcomes with this type of quasi-experimental research. The research at SMP Negeri 2 Dolok Masihul used a random sampling technique, namely class VIII5 as the experimental class and class VIII4 as the control class. The research instrument for student learning activities is in the form of essays to determine student learning outcomes. The average post-test score for the control class was 66.9 with a standard deviation of 8.20 after being given different treatments, the post-test average score for the experimental class was 78.1 with a standard deviation of 6.85 and through a t-test of one side for the experimental class posttest data. and control class equal to 0.05 and dk equal to 58 obtained tcount equal to 6.187 and ttable equal to 1.671, with tcount greater than ttable then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, so it can be concluded that there is a Significant Effect of PBL Learning Model on Ability Solving Student Problems (HOTS). While the relationship of variables has a significant effect through regression testing with the results of Y equal to 12.6+0.9 X.
