It affects millions of people worldwide, significantly impacting quality of life and posing a substantial public health burden. The pathophysiology of asthma involves complex interactions between genetic predisposition and environmental factors, leading to the hallmark symptoms of wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness.
