This article explores the three primary linguistic theories: descriptive, explanatory, and fundamental linguistics. It outlines their definitions, applications, and interrelations, providing a comprehensive overview of how these theories contribute to our understanding of language. By analyzing contemporary research and theoretical frameworks, this study highlights the importance of each approach in linguistic inquiry.
